Celebrity Shoes: Zosia Mamet in buckled platform sandals

Zosia Mamet wears a simple pink dress with embellished collar that looks sweet and innocent and then complemented it with a plaid platform sandals by Miu Miu that screams she is also a woman who likes to party hard.

This Miu Miu platform sandal has 5-inch heel and 2.25-inch platform that are both covered in multicolored plaid while the buckled straps are embellished with crystals. It is available at Barneys for $1,250.

Celebrity Shoes: Chloe Sevigny in Miu Miu crystal buckled sandals

Chloe Sevigny walked the red carpet of Venice Film Festival 2017 wearing a ruffle trimmed wrap dress that gave her a slight wardrobe malfunction, and crystal buckled Miu Miu sandals that has another surprise up its heels.

What an interesting heel!

Miu Miu never cease to amaze me with their shoe designs. They always give a classic design a bit of an edge without going over the top. I like what they did with this peep toe pump. I really really like the unusual curved heel!

The bow has a sweet touch, too. My heart melts just looking at it.

 Its upper is made of purple suede. The suede-covered heel measures 140mm with 40mm platform.

Aw! Isn't it cute? This is way better than other fruit inspired footwear in the past few months. This is something that you would want to wear on your vacation... comfortable but doesn't lack style.

I'd like to have vanilla chocolate sundae with cherry on top right now. Yummy!

Shopping at Saks Fifth Avenue

It's been a long time since I checked out Saks Fifth Avenue's shoes and I think I have missed quite a lot. Their primary banner features gift suggestions for Christmas while their shoes and handbags section features Gucci's collection for spring and Jimmy Choo's collection for fall.

Here are the things that I bought (in my dreams):

Miu Miu glitter bootie

Diane Kruger is such a great walking advertisement/endorser. This Miu Miu glitter bootie was first seen on the fashionista. This bootie is now sold out at Neiman Marcus.

It has 4 1/2-inch heel covered with glitter that extends to the upper with black suede contrast strap. It is from Miu Miu's fall 2011 collection.

Miu Miu velvet bow sandals

Miu Miu velvet bow sandals, $750 at Barneys.

Just a quick post before I take a snooze. I could not understand why Barneys described this as a boot when it clearly looks like a sandal. Moving on. I really like the shape of this shoe and the velvet bow looks luxurious. It has 120mm covered heel and platform. I think platform is one of the best shoe innovations following stilettos.

While out in New York, Mary Kate Olsen prefers to wear her usual wackiness--sparkling pants, huge shirt, Miu Miu's striped fur stole and cutout brogue pumps from the brand's S/S 2011  collection.

Shoe Picks for Kate Middleton

A few days left before the most anticipated event of the year--the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. And while the rest of us are excited on what Kate's wedding gown will look like, I am more excited on what shoes she'll wear with it. And while we are still so clueless about some of the most important details of the wedding, if I were Kate, I will pick any of these shoes to go with my wedding dress.

Its upper is made of satin, the mesh bow is embellished with crystals, it has 1 inch platform and the heel that measures 5 inches is covered with satin.

The upper is made of silk-satin, the heel measures 5 inches and platform measures 1 inch.

This is a simple sandal with a lot of attitude at the back. Who wouldn't fall in love with the crystal embellished heel?

This pump is made of silk-satin upper, resin heel with leaf detail that measures 6 inches and platform front of  1 inch.

Look at the beauty of the heels. Amazing!

Christian Louboutin 'Fifi' crystal embellished peep toe pump, $3,095 at Bergdorf Goodman.
I doubt if Her Royal Highness would approve of this overly expensive pump. But, it will sure look good with the wedding dress.

Badgley Mischka 'Kandid' pump, $200 at Shoebox.
A super affordable pump that will pass the strict austerity measures of the palace. Its upper is made of satin with glittered cap toe and the heel measures 4 inches.

Jimmy Choo glitter fabric peep toe pump, $695 at Bergdorf Goodman.
This is a more affordable sparkling shoe. Its upper is made of glittered fabric, the heel measures approximately 4 inches while the platform front is 1 inch thick.

Mirror Image: Miu Miu cutout platform pump vs.Luxury Rebel 'Sakura'

It would be hard to tell which of the two is Miu Miu's if I did not put labels. They are not exactly mirror image because Miu Miu's is a peep toe, but other than that they look pretty much the same. I personally think that Luxury Rebel's version looks prettier both in style and price.

Miu Miu's can be bought at Barneys for $650 while Luxury Rebel's 'Sakura' is available at Bloomingdale's for $99.
