The recent Oscars, I think, is the mot glamorous event of the year. I was so amazed at how the stars dressed. It was good news for my other blog, Tres Chic!, but bad news for this blog because despite the gorgeous gowns, you could barely see the gorgeous shoes. Luckily, Jennifer Hudson's Elie Saab dress provided a slit for us to see her Giuseppe Zanotti snakeskin pump in all its metallic blue color.

Prada rubber dipped maryjane pump

Sorry, Prada, but I think this rubber dipped maryjane pump resembles a famous Disney character. The ingenuity of the designer and maker of this shoe surely hits the need for something that will protect the wearer and the shoe, for that matter, from the harsh Fall and Winter weather... by dipping it in rubber.

Well, ok, so here now is Jenny McCarthy wearing a simple red dress and the Prada rubber dipped maryjane pump for the promotion of her Bad Habits book in NYC. Honestly, it looks special, maybe because it is red rubber and not orange. The shape of the heel sort of added a vintage appeal to the shoe... Its heel height, by the way, is 140mm with a 95mm platform.

Anyway, if you would like this pump, Saks Fifth Avenue limits the order to three pairs only per person every thirty days because of its high demand (like you need three pairs of this) and you can have it for $950.

Well, well, well... Christina Aguilera managed to tone down her style for the ALMA Awards and she did it pretty well. Her Michael Kors gown with laced sleeves and side slit covered her up but still it brought out Xtina's personality. To finish her look, she wore Christian Louboutin 'Decorapump' strass platform pump and accessorized with Judith Leiber clutch and Neil Lane jewels.

You are already familiar with the shape of this pump, it is 'Dafodile', and of course it has the same 3-inch platform and 6-inch heel. What is special about 'Decorapump' is the strass (crystal) covered suede upper.

I never really imagined that any Hollywood star would wear that Lanvin dress with Swarovski crystal snake that I featured last January in my other blog. I think it is too costume-y, absurdly styled and just OTT. But then I saw this photo of Jennifer Lopez and I realized that I shouldn't have closed the idea.

I am getting quite tired of Katy Perry's blue hair, seriously. Thank goodness for those Christian Louboutin 'Sex' nude pumps, I was able to have another look at her. So, maybe from the ankles up, she looks like a desperate single star, but hey, at least she's got nice looking shoes.

I featured this pump last December 2011. This design belongs to Christian Louboutin's Spring/Summer 2012 Collection. It is the shape of Pigalle with 120mm heel and SEX word outlined with gold strass.

Seen: Willow Smith in Adidas Y-3 by Yohji Yamamoto 'Oriah' high cut sneakers

While browsing E! to get my daily shot of tabloid news, I saw this photo of Willow Smith. She looks happy and fine while out and about in NYC. She actually looks like a normal kid here compared to her previous wacky styles. But, despite the "normality", those Adidas Y-3 by Yohji Yamamoto 'Oriah' high cut sneakers still caught my attention.

I featured these unusual high cut sneakers last February and I was wondering how anyone could walk in them. Well, I guess the wondering ends now because our little fashion risk taker did the honors. You can have your very own pair at Zappos Couture for $690.

I don't know what Hollywood moms do to their body. I mean, it seems as if they've shed all the fat together with their babies. I think it isn't happening in normal people's world. And here is Beyonce, just a month after giving birth to Blue Ivy Carter. The world is so unfair.

Sexy Feet: Elizabeth Banks

Elizabeth Banks wowed the crowd with her head to toe gold look during the premier of Man On A Ledge in Hollywood, California. She wore an Emilio Pucci short sleeve dress with a sexy back cutout that she complemented with Jimmy Choo tube clutch and uber sexy Christian Louboutin 'Lady Max' spiked sandals.

The eye-catching sandals was even emphasized because of her sexy (no veins, mind you) feet with pink colored toenails (no cracks and chips).

It is Christmas and it is cold outside. Fortunately, on this side of the planet, it doesn't snow otherwise I will be forced to stay inside the house, curl up on my bed and sleep the whole day. Unfortunately for me, I don't get to wear the loveliest and bad ass boots like this Christian Louboutin 'Marisa' because I couldn't afford it.

Luckily for Lindsay Lohan, despite the countless trials she has attended this year, she still has the cash to stash for Louboutin boots. She's caught wearing it during her brother's birthday party at Beaumarchais in New York.

Fashion Faux Pas: Cracked Nail Polish

If there is one thing women (even men) should not take for granted, it is having clean feet and perfectly polished toe nails. I have seen many Hollywood stars walk on the red carpet wearing the most gorgeous dresses, makeup and shoes and yet they sometimes forget to check on their toes. And that ruins everything.

One tip that I can give you is that if you don't have time to go to the salon for a foot spa and pedicure but you have to wear sandals for your dress, forget it. Wear closed shoes instead. Cracked nail polish doesn't look good, people. However, if you would really insist on wearing your sexy sandals or peep toes, there are quick drying nail polishes in the market. Just spray on some toe blusher, brush the excess, let it dry and then apply your desired nail polish color. Another trick to quicken the drying process is to apply a quick drying enamel coat. This trick will spare you from being on the list of fashion faux pas.

If you have plenty of time, though, before you wear your sandals, please, do set an appointment in the salon or parlor. I happen to stumble upon Julep--a nail haven website with various parlors all over the US. You can set an appointment online (how convenient) and choose the foot and nail care package suitable for you. I checked out their nail gel polish of different colors and other nail care items and was surprised of the wide range of products they are selling. Victoria's Secret fashion show is one of runway shows to behold. This year, VS went underwater, fairy, superhero, and Spanish senorita. The angel 'wings' were so beautiful and not to mention the shoes! The designer behind the dreamy shoes is Giuseppe Zanotti.

A few days ago, before Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's white sexy number at Mario Testino's party, Kate Bosworth appeared at the screening of  Straw Dogs in New York City wearing a beaded Antonio Berardi dress that highlighted her curves and Christian Louboutin's 'Supervic' pointed toe pumps with crystals.

Burberry Body perfume's new muse was all glam at Mario Testino's party in London wearing, of course, a white Burberry long sleeved gown with down-to-there neckline and up-to-there slit. She finished off the look by wearing Christian Louboutin's 'Supervic' pumps that showed major toe cleavage.

Seen: Naya Rivera wearing Walter Steiger curved heel pumps

I was a bit hesitant about Walter Steiger's curved heel pumps when I first saw it because it reminds me of Alexander McQueen's armadillo shoes... but, my thoughts have changed when I saw this photo of Naya Rivera of Glee. She has so much confidence and I bet it came from wearing a statement shoe.

It has 4 1/2-inch heel covered with glitter that extends to the upper with black suede contrast strap. It is from Miu Miu's fall 2011 collection.
