Charlotte Olympia 'Bear Necessities' pumps

Charlotte Olympia is the mother of quirky adult shoes. She has shoes with a bird, flowers, film strips, Marilyn Monroe's face, leopard and other unusual designs for a shoe. In addition to her collection is this pump in a classic shape with 4-inch heel. Its upper is made of floral burgundy satin with a 3D quilted bear on the toe. I know that not many will be amazed of the design and buy it but Charlotte Olympia shoes are far one of the most famous choices among celebrities.

At first I thought it was the shoe that I mentioned imagining making an appearance in 50 Shades of Grey because it has a mirrored heel and in black upper. But, this Charlotte Olympia 'Showbiz' pump is actually different from that shoe. Charlotte Olympia 'Rosa' rose-appliqued sandals

This is just one of the few Charlotte Olympia shoes without the signature platforms so it needs to land on this blog. This sandals is called 'Rosa' for obvious reason... it has a leather rose applique on the strappy toes. Its heel measures 4.5 inches and its upper is made of suede. I am sure you'll feel like a Spanish senorita if you'll wear this.

Charlotte Olympia 'Leading Lady' glitter finish platform sandals

If  I were to attend Cannes, I'd wear this Charlotte Olympia glitter finished sandals. It has the face of one of the most glamorous icons to have hit Hollywood-Marilyn Monroe, and orbs on the T-bar strap. It bears the designer's signature platforms of 1.5 inches and heels of 6 inches. Although I am really not a fan of glittered shoes, I would like to give this a try.

Charlotte Olympia 'Birthday' flats

The moment I laid my eyes on these Charlotte Olympia  'Birthday' flats, I already know that it should have a post in this blog. These shoes are way off to what the designer is known for but it is, to my taste, the most adorable flats to win my choosy shoe heart!

These flats are from the designer's Cosmic Collection. I thought the collection is about the moon and stars adorning the ubiquitous exaggerated platforms of the designer but to my surprise it was actually the signs of the zodiac. I am an Aquarian and I wouldn't mind wearing my sign. 

The 1/2-inch golden heel creates a nice contrast to the suede with metallic leather piping. The almond toe is adorned with a crystal embellished zodiac sign.

Charlotte Olympia 'Dolly' suede pumps with flower design

I am not a big fan of Charlotte Olympia's signature platform, but, I must say that for this particular shoe, I am impressed. I like the color and the cute flower on the toe, and I believe that every girl has a sweet spot for flowers. Imagine yourself wearing this shoe with a vintage inspired dress on a Sunday picnic at the park. Lovely!

In as much as I would like to "like" this sandal, it really does remind me of Rapunzel's hair. It's not one of my favorite fairy tales because her hair per se gives me the creeps. I could not imagine how a woman takes care of that really really really long hair... maybe because my hair treatment is limited only to haircut and shampoo.

Anyway... this sandal is made of braided raffia. It has 6.5-inch heel with floral design and 2-inch platform.

Another dangerously high footwear from Charlotte Olympia, this time, a stripe wedge with a peeking red sole. I wonder if Mr. Louboutin has seen this? Anyway, I am actually not a fan of this wedge... let's just say that I am the clumsiest person and staying away from extremely high heels is one of the best decisions I will ever make in my life.

This wedge was probably made to scare Marc Jacobs's mouse flats. I am kidding. Seriously, do you find shoes with animal faces cute? I don't. I admire Charlotte Olympia's creativity and how she mixes materials to create lovely shoes, but, this shoe is something that you can not find in my closet... I don't have rats to scare away, in the first place.

The black red carpet of the MTV Movie Awards 2011 will not be complete without Blake Lively striking her signature pose, sexy dress and her Louboutins. It's a known fact at how she loves Christian Louboutin shoes that the master shoemaker returned the favor by creating a shoe that he named after Blake. But, I think that those 'Bibi' suede pumps doesn't match her look. What do you think?

Seen: Kim Kardashian in Charlotte Olympia 'Dolores' platform pumps

Aside from Gwen Stefani, Kim Kardashian was also seen wearing Charlotte Olympia's 'Dolores' pumps. She wore the pump with Mara Hoffman single strap mini while attending the Wet Republic opening bash in Las Vegas. I think we should learn a lot from this photo... never ever wear pumps with ankle straps if you already have stumpy legs... it will just make you look shorter.
