Celebrity Shoes: Kelly Clarkson wears Versace buckled boots

The first American Idol, Kelly Clarkson attended the US Open wearing a black and white long sleeve graphic dress with statement shoulders, black tights and killer Versace buckled boots. While we think her outfit fits a music awards event or a premiere rather than a tennis game, we give her props for looking edgy because she's that type of an artist. There's a trend in her recent appearances, we notice it, and we hope it will continue to prosper into something that she will be comfortable and confident in.

Celebrity Shoes: Jennifer Lopez wears Versace thigh-high denim boots

Always count on Jennifer Lopez to give us something to talk about whether it is about her love life, her career or her fashion choices and we are more amused about the latter. While out in Manhattan, J. Lo was seen wearing an oversize button down white shirt and Versace slouchy thigh high denim boots that looks like a pair of pants complete with belt and pockets (gasp!). Her look actually borderlines f-a-s-h-i-o-n and tacky but we're voting as fashionable just because she is Jenny from the Block. Her large sunglasses, hoop earrings and stacked bracelet (not to mention her Hermes Birkin bag) completed her homage to the 90's look. Is it a yay or nay?

Celebrity Shoes: Katy Perry wears Versace gold boots at the Met Gala

If you think Katy Perry wouldn't top her last year's red veiled gown, you are wrong. She completely delivered yesterday at the Met Gala wearing a Versace dress and 6-foot wings. She didn't ride a limo or a bus to get to the Met, she arrived on a vintage convertible because of those wings. To complete her over-the-top look, she wore thigh-high gold boots by Versace. It's crazy but we like it!

Celebrity Shoes: Gigi Hadid wears Versace embellished boots

Technically, those Versace embellished boots are not Gigi Hadid's (yet). She wore it during the brand's S/S '18 RTW collection last September and I saw it again at Luisa Via Roma with a staggering tag price of $15,550. It actually suits her. 

This is one bad ass boot! I wouldn't be surprised if she already owns a pair because she has the bucks to spend and besides Kendall Jenner already owns a Saint Laurent crystal embellished boots that she wore at a Lakers game last year.

I am obsessed with these Versace Spring 2014 sandals on the runway! Everything about them is perfect. I especially love this light blue one and with that, I would like to borrow Rachel Zoe's line, "I die!"

This is another pointed toe shoe but it looks modern, mod and chic.  I like the combination of black, blue and gray in different textures. The 5.5-inch stiletto may be a challenge to you but the 1.5-inch platform will help you balance. You can wear this at work and even at night when you want to go out on a date or if you want to party.

Seen: Liz Uy in Versace 'Dvea' platfrom sandals

The uber stylish Liz Uy was seen wearing Versace 'Dvea' plaform sandals. Liz is a stylist in the Philippines and Pres. Noynoy Aquino himself is just one of the famous personalities who seeks her fashion opinion. Her recent project is Preview Magazine's May 2011 cover featuring Shalani Soledad.

Versace 'Dvea' platform sandal... an accident waiting to happen

Let us do a little math here:

7 inches heel + 3 inches platform = an accident waiting to happen

Although this super high platform sandal looks good on the runway, I think women should think twice wearing this off the runway where the streets are full of stumbling blocks and hurdles... not to mention the stairs.  The sort of floating footbed, candy color combination and architectural design are ingenious... but, let us leave it to the pros.

Versace purple leather platform sandals with hoop T-bar

Wee!  I am just so excited to tell you that I am now officially back in the blogging world, finally, after so many weeks of struggling to have my internet connection back.  I am just so happy!  Whenever I am happy, I am reminded of my favorite yummy dessert... purple yam.  It is so delish, I don't mind all the calories packed in every bite.  It is one of my grandmother's specialties and she only cooks it during special occasions.  I dearly miss it...

And since there's no occasion for me to eat purple yam, I will just suffice looking to this equally delish purple sandals by Versace that you can get at Net-A-Porter for $795.  Yummy!

Versace made up for the clown boots by giving us this stamped leather pump.  I honestly don't know what stamped means on this shoe.  Anyway, the buckles add enough edginess and sexiness... and the purple sole is not bad either.  You can buy this at Saks for $730.

Versace platform ankle clown boots?
