Celebrity Shoes: Kendall Jenner wears flame design sandals

Kylie Jenner's 21st birthday was star-studded and her sisters are in attendance despite the recent tweet war between Kim, Kourtney and Khloe and the dog-biting controversy of Kendall. While Kim, Kourtney and the birthday girl chose to wear pinks and purples, Kendall opted to wear a strapless leather mini dress that she accessorized with oversize Prada envelope clutch and sandals with flame design to signify that her look is hot.

This Prada "Flame" sandal has been around since 2011 for the brand's SS 2012 collection. It is made of patent leather and features the ubiquitous flames on the ankle and wedge heel inspired by the decals of muscle cars of the 50's. While this design comes in a variety of colors, this black version is available at Farfetch for $1,100.

Prada rubber dipped maryjane pump

Sorry, Prada, but I think this rubber dipped maryjane pump resembles a famous Disney character. The ingenuity of the designer and maker of this shoe surely hits the need for something that will protect the wearer and the shoe, for that matter, from the harsh Fall and Winter weather... by dipping it in rubber.

Photo from people.com

Well, ok, so here now is Jenny McCarthy wearing a simple red dress and the Prada rubber dipped maryjane pump for the promotion of her Bad Habits book in NYC. Honestly, it looks special, maybe because it is red rubber and not orange. The shape of the heel sort of added a vintage appeal to the shoe... Its heel height, by the way, is 140mm with a 95mm platform.

Anyway, if you would like this pump, Saks Fifth Avenue limits the order to three pairs only per person every thirty days because of its high demand (like you need three pairs of this) and you can have it for $950.

Seen: Katy Perry wearing Prada 'Flame' sandals

Photo from E! Online
Post break-up, Katy Perry is almost always seen wearing rather matronly get-ups, like this one. It is still quirky and colorful, but it lacks the fun, even if she is wearing those Prada 'Flame' sandals from the brand's S/S collection.

I featured Prada's flame sandals last September 2011.

Buckled Boots at Bluefly

My mom made a long distance call at 2AM just to ask me what kind of boots I want for Christmas. She's sweet! She knows my weakness--footwear. I guess she knew that I already own many pumps and sandals that's why she decided to buy me boots.

After some his and hellos... I told her I wanted to have buckled boots. Buckled boots that look something like any of these boots at Bluefly...

Seen: Katie Holmes wearing Prada bi-color loafer pumps

Photo from Tres Chic!
One Prada shoe that I liked is the bi-color loafer just because it reminds me of my school days. My grandmother would insist I wear loafers to school because she thought it would look nice with my uniform. Of course I didn't wear them as often as she wants. Seeing Katie Holmes wearing the shoe with red leather pants for her appearance in a tv show reminds me of those days. I still like the shoes but I would definitely not wear them with what Katie has worn.

Prada bi-color patent leather loafer pumps, $680 at Bluefly.
This is also available in pink.

Oprah's Shoes

The Oprah Winfrey Show officially signed off yesterday. I still could not bear the fact that there will be no more Oprah's favorite things, jumping on couches, happy headaches every afternoon and waiting for what shoes she will wear. I am now suffering from EOS (Empty Oprah Syndrome).

For those of you who are experiencing EOS, Oprah graciously shared to us her shoes--Choos to Louboutins... my jaws literally dropped.

Valentino patent leather d'orsay pump with bow detail that she wore during the kick off of the 25th season. You can have this at Nordstrom for $645.

Oprah says she has worn these Swarovski encrusted Christian Louboutin slingbacks with jeans and evening dresses. It's like her 'Dorothy' shoes.

Oprah's favorite ballet flats by Prada. It is her 'after school' shoes.

Prada patent leather pump with ankle strap...simple yet sexy

And I am back.

I have been away for days because of some medical emergency and I am glad that I was greeted by this Prada patent leather pump with ankle strap. It is simple yet it exudes so much sexiness. That's actually what I like about Prada shoes. If there is one Hollywood star that I associate with Prada, it is Jessica Alba. She's frequently seen wearing the Italian brand's footwear.

Prada has been in the fashion industry since 1913 but it was during the 1970's, through Muiccia Prada, that marked their status as one of the most coveted leather goods brands.

Sample how good their leather goods are by having this leather pumps with ankle strap at Bluefly for $500.40.

Seen: Rita Wilson in Prada lucite heel chandelier sandals

I don't like red carpet events because women are all wearing long gowns and that means I could not see what shoes they are wearing.  In the recently concluded 2010 Emmy, two gorgeous ladies had the courage (guts) to wear short dresses.  Heidi Klum wore a rosette-filled Marchesa mini which she paired with spiked Christian Louboutin pumps.  The other lady is Rita Wilson (photo) who wore a Prada sparkling dress and this chandelier inspired sandal, also by Prada:

This sandal looks cute and unique on the runway.  I thought it would remain on the runway until Rita wore it yesterday.  I personally don't think it fits the personality of Rita.  The sparkling dress was great in itself so an equally sparkling shoe is not necessary.  Rita is blooming, she looks really happy with Tom Hanks and I think her aura should not be overpowered by anything too sparkly and quirky.

This sandal is available at Bluefly for $1,024.

Prada bi-color patent leather loafer pump

I had an unforgettable story about my first experience wearing loafers.  It happened when I was in grade school, my seatmate would tease me about my feet.  Yes, I was already teased about my huge feet when I was a kid.  My mom bought me a pair of loafers to go with my school uniform but I despise them because it made my feet look a lot bigger.  One day, I was forced to wear it because my favorite school shoes gave up on me.  I went to school feeling so conscious about my even bigger looking feet.  Needless to say, my seatmate noticed my new shoes and he stepped on my foot to 'baptize' them.  I wasn't hurt but I was so pissed at him for making my shoes dirty so I stepped on his foot with all my might that he screamed and cried.  Finally, I had my revenge.  He never teased me about my feet since then.

If kids, during my time, were allowed to wear heels in school, my classmate would definitely dread the day he first teased me about my feet because I probably had shoes that look something like these Prada loafer pumps and I will step on his foot using the heel and not the toe part.

I will not intentionally step on someone's foot, it is simply rude.

You can get these loafer pumps at Saks for $850.

Prada ankle strap wedge with bow

I think I've had enough of the bows already.  To end this bow-full week, here is a wedge with ankle strap by Prada that is just perfect to wear this season.  Wear this with a skirt, shorts, cropped pants, maxi or mini dress... your imagination is only the limit.  Of course this kind of shoe is best worn if you are feeling cazh.  You can have this at Bluefly for $520 or 20% off from its original price of $650.
