Boots You Should Be Wearing This Winter

Take a cue from Gigi Hadid, Hailey Baldwin (Bieber) and Kendall Jenner about the boots you should be wearing this winter season. You don't have to spend as much as they do to look equally fashionable (and warm) like them, in fact, we did the research for you and we have found these boots that are less than $250.

Donna Karan Spring 2014 RTW Runway Shoes

Donna Karan played with blues and browns and tribal prints for Spring 2014. It is my most favorite collection so far and I am not talking about shoes yet. The shoes are a mix of earth colors and snakeskin with studs and stacked heels to complement the entire collection.

New Shoes: Le donne gray platform pumps

This pump is actually my 3rd pair of shoes this year. Don't blame me for buying too many shoes last month because I almost lived inside the mall. This is my first pair from Le donne and it is on sale for roughly $10. Le donne is not a common boutique in the nearby mall because their stores are usually in Manila. The brand has been in the business since the 1980s and was endorsed by Korina Sanchez--a popular news anchor in the Philippines.

It has 4-inch heels and 1-inch hidden platform. The upper is made of patent leather with a stretch cloth covering the toe. I was actually looking for a black pump but I came across this and I think this will do to match my office uniform. I wore this last week and it is surprisingly comfortable.

Buckled Boots at Bluefly

My mom made a long distance call at 2AM just to ask me what kind of boots I want for Christmas. She's sweet! She knows my weakness--footwear. I guess she knew that I already own many pumps and sandals that's why she decided to buy me boots.

After some his and hellos... I told her I wanted to have buckled boots. Buckled boots that look something like any of these boots at Bluefly...

Balenciaga geometric sandals

Balenciaga geometric sandals, $900 at Farfetch.
How about something futuristic? Balenciaga offers this gray sandal with geometric black, white and blue panels. It has a slingback buckle, stiletto heel and slightly platform.

It reminds me of these two songs:

Seen: Kate Winslet in Michael Kors 'Rebecca' sandals

The curvy award-winning actress, Kate Winslet, was seen wearing Michael Kors 'Rebecca' color-block sandals during the 68th Venice International Film Festival. She looked stunning. But, that's not the best part.

Asos 'Turbo' ankle boots

Asos 'Turbo' tartan print ankle boots, $94.81.
I think this ankle boot would be so much fun to wear. It has 5 1/2-inch block heel and 1.4-inch platform. Its entire upper (and heel) is covered with tartan print fabric with zipper closure on the side. I am going to be a little bit crazy with the prints and textures of the items that I will be wearing with it... take a look.

Wear it with these:

B by Brian Atwood Fall/Winter 2011 Collection

Photo from Haute Living.

If you still could not get your feet into Brian Atwood's shoes, in case you didn't know, he released last September a more affordable line of shoes-B! And he did not sacrifice design and quality for the price. Take a look at some of my favorites from his Fall/Winter collection.

I am going to use this word again--fierce!

A luxurious colored pump.

Lots of attitude at the back.

She could be your best friend during formal parties.
These shoes are on a pre-order basis only. If you want to have your very own pair, click here.

Emma Stone wears Christian Louboutin 'Metalipp' pumps

Photo from E! Online.
It is so nice to see Emma Stone all dolled up during the premiere of Crazy, Stupid, Love in New York City. From the waist up, she looks really gorgeous. But, the hip area is where I am turned off. Just the other day she was seen wearing a pink floatation device and it wasn't flooding. I do hope she doesn't get crazier than this Tom Ford lace dress of else we'll die in a bad way. Anyway, her hips are not the topic for today, it's the shoes she is wearing.

Christian Louboutin 'Metalipp' pumps, $995 at Neiman Marcus.

Yes, that is Christian Louboutin 'Metalipp' pumps from the brand's Fall/Winter 2011 collection. It is related to 'Big Lips', 'Open Lips' and all other pumps of Louboutin with stick thin heel. This version, though, has a gunmetal cap toe and chain detail.

Thank Goodness for Google!

Studio TMLS 'Willy' bow pump, $125 at Bakershoes.com
To borrow from Rachel Zoe: WE DIE!

Thank goodness for Google that I was able to find this pretty red shoe with an equally lovely bow. Today is just one of those days that it is so hard to decide.
Like this color? Buy here.
It says in the description it is purple but I think it is gray. Both colors are suede with satin bows that seems to be talking to you. The 1-inch platform front is a perfect complement to the slightly chunky heel.

Versace colorblock leather and suede pumps

Versace colorblock leather and suede pumps, $775 at Net-A-Porter.
This is another pointed toe shoe but it looks modern, mod and chic.  I like the combination of black, blue and gray in different textures. The 5.5-inch stiletto may be a challenge to you but the 1.5-inch platform will help you balance. You can wear this at work and even at night when you want to go out on a date or if you want to party.

Wear it with these:

All my shoes... sort of

I have been showing you shoes but I haven't actually shown you my own (except for my new purchases). Well, here are my shoes, the ones that I usually wear, recently bought and the ones my mom gave me when she visited.

From L to R, top row: Caged sandals with braided straps, Christian Siriano caged sandals, lace platform pumps, platform sandals with snakeskin strap, gray peep toes pumps with silver heels, gray lace up pumps.
From L to R, middle row: Slides by Bandolino, Style & Co, and Naturalizer, peep toe pumps by Fioni.
From L to R, bottom row: Naturalizer slides, clogs by Sonoma and buckled slides by Rampage.

All slides and the clogs are from my mom. Judging from the shoes she gave me, you can say that she's not fond of pumps and sky high heels. I usually wear the gray lace up pumps, Fioni, lace pumps and the caged sandals with braided straps. I just bought the platform sandals with snakeskin straps and I guess it will be included in my frequently used shoes, I wore it yesterday and they are so comfy.

There are only 15 pairs in the photo but I still have some shoes hidden somewhere in my closet. Lining up these 15 pairs is so tiring. I will line up everything some other time.

New Shoes!

My mom came from the US for a vacation and she brought with her the shoes that she and my aunt ordered at Payless in my behalf. I have waited for these shoes for months and I am so excited to show them to you.

SHOE NUMBER 1
Christian Siriano gladiator sandals with zip front detail and buckled straps from the "exotic" collection. First fit was a bit uncomfortable but thank goodness the buckled straps are adjustable. Aunt should have bought me a medium fit. Unfortunately, it is no longer available.

My mom wonders how could I walk in its 3-inch heel.

Front view showing the zip front. Fierce!

SHOE NUMBER 2
Just a basic peep toe pump with embossed snake skin upper from Fioni. This is only $19.99. I wanted the nude  version but they ran out of size 9 1/2", nevertheless, I like this black not less than I like the other color. Super comfy!

Oops! The price tag is still showing. The front view of the no fuzz pumps. I tried this with jeans and cropped pants and it looks great on them.

The 3-inch stiletto heel.

Jeffrey Campbell 'Situation' pumps

Jeffrey Campbell 'Situation' pumps, $124.95 at Nordstrom.

Yes, we have a situation here! These Jeffrey Campbell 'Situation' pumps are so gorgeous! These pumps bring me back to the Mad Men era. I especially love the gray with white bow. What surprised me the most is that these are designed by Jeffrey Campbell, the one who also designed 'Sky Room' and 'Spectacular Spectrum' sandals.

'Whole Lot Of Sole' sandals, $54.99 at Mod Cloth.
That's a whole of sole indeed!

This 60s inspired sandal has floral fabric covered heel and platform of 5 and 2 inches respectively. The upper is made of man made leather.
