New Wedges for Me and for You

I bought myself a new wedge sandals today.  It has a raffia effect platform and crisscross straps.  Why did I bought it?  My feet got tired of walking in thong slippers while on a shopping spree so I had to buy something with heels.  You are reading it right.  My feet hurts when walking for a long period of time wearing flats because of my plantar fasciitis.  Each time the ligaments under my feet relaxes or shortens, stepping hurts, so I have to wear heels to stretch them a bit.  I have not experienced it for quite sometime and it a bit bothers me why my feet  starts to hurt again.  I guess I have to consult my podiatrist and physiatrist again... I bet I'll get more sermon than the last time. I could hear my grandma saying how high my heels are and for me to be careful not to trip.

Since I am talking about wedges (again), here are more wedges that you might want to check out (purchase):

Steve Madden 'Riddgge' wedge crisscross sandal with zip back closure, $89.95 at Endless.  This is also available in black.

Lauren by Ralph Lauren 'Nailah' nude wedge, $98 at Endless.  This is also available in black.

Bottega Veneta suede ankle wedge boots, $890 at Net-A-Porter.

Yves Saint Laurent lace-up wedge, $895 at Madison LA.

Christian Louboutin 'Deroba' flannel wedge espadrille, $595 at Saks.

Black or White?

When I was still studying, we were not allowed to wear shoes that aren't black... clean and shiny black school shoes--which I think is not a bad thing.  My collection of black school shoes I thought would end in college but, no... we still have uniforms that should be worn only with black shoes.  That is the case if you are not enrolled in Nursing or other allied medicine courses but I would still consider myself lucky for not having to wear white shoes.  I actually haven't tried wearing white ones.. I don't want to try an all white shoe simply because I don't want to see dirt on it, so this led me to searching for really cute black and white combo shoes... and here are some that I've found.

Charles by Charles David 'Vice' sandal at Endless that is 40% off the original price of $144.95.

These 'Kalei' peep toes are not your usual floral printed shoes and these are by Anne Klein.

Love this!  This Giuseppe Zanotti 'Graffiti' peep toe captures the 80's art deco and the pink heels added more attitude to this shoe.

Georgina Goodman 'Ruby' paltform sandal would be perfect with black tights.

This 'Halina' thong sandal by Ralph Lauren is made for stylish long walks around town.

Black and white are not boring, just take a look at this 'Miss Marc' ballet flats by Marc Jacobs.  The pirate face design is so cute!

Mirror Image: Ralph Lauren Faith Pump vs. Nine West Hamish Pump

Ralph Lauren and Nine West designers are thinking the same shoe design... just look at the two.  The only difference is that Ralph Lauren thought it would be a lot funkier if they'd add a little more height on the shoe.  Whichever you like, you can buy both at Macy's.
