Buckled Boots at Bluefly

My mom made a long distance call at 2AM just to ask me what kind of boots I want for Christmas. She's sweet! She knows my weakness--footwear. I guess she knew that I already own many pumps and sandals that's why she decided to buy me boots.

I haven't featured too many blue shoes in this blog... I wonder why?  Anyway, these bowed pumps by Charles David is simply adorable.  Seeing these pumps made me recall my summer rendezvous.  If I had found it earlier, this is perfect for summer.   Anyway, it is never too late to purchase and save these for the next summer.  Oh, I could not wait to wear this with my favorite summer dress.  This is available at Zappos for $195.

Edgy high heeled sandals

The past two or three years is perhaps the most edgy years for shoes.  Who would've thought that spikes would land on shoes and zippers, studs, mesh and laces would be all over them?  I believe these unusual materials will not say goodbye to shoes anytime soon so I thought I might share with you some of the edgy sandals that I have found.

This Charles David sandal is edgy because it looks like a heeled sneakers.  The yellow mesh gives this caged sandal more fun and exciting.  You can get this at Nordstrom for $128.95.

This mixed media sandal by Jimmy Choo is trendy and edgy at the same time because of the contrast stitching, studs and two-buckle closures.  You can grab a pair of this at Bergdorf Goodman for $1,195.

Black or White?

When I was still studying, we were not allowed to wear shoes that aren't black... clean and shiny black school shoes--which I think is not a bad thing.  My collection of black school shoes I thought would end in college but, no... we still have uniforms that should be worn only with black shoes.  That is the case if you are not enrolled in Nursing or other allied medicine courses but I would still consider myself lucky for not having to wear white shoes.  I actually haven't tried wearing white ones.. I don't want to try an all white shoe simply because I don't want to see dirt on it, so this led me to searching for really cute black and white combo shoes... and here are some that I've found.

I've found these at Endless and it reminds me of Louis Vuitton's S/S 2010 collection--only tamer, minus the mustache and and definitely wearable.  Tribal prints and ethnic designs are what LV showcased previously and I think this is the best way to follow that trend.  I love the color combination, either of the two will make me happy.
