Celebrity Shoes: Danai Gurira wears Fendi slingback pumps

We love Danai Gurira's fashion sense. She's one of the few artists who never miss in the style department. She's not afraid to wear colors and mix and match patterns like this long sleeve top with bird print she wore with a plain high waist skirt and monogramed Fendi slingback pumps with the same color spectrum as her top.

This Fendi "Colibri" slingback pump features monogrammed toe, striped strap across the top with contrast color slingback. Its sculptural heel measures 3 inches. This design is from the brand's Autum/Winter 2018 collection. Other color combinations are available online.

Celebrity Shoes: Cardi B wears Alexander Wang slingback pumps

Cardi B's style is continuously evolving and we love it. For the Billboard 2018 R&B Hip-hop Power Players event in N.Y.C., the new mom wore a lime green coat with fur trim and white Alexander Wang slingback pumps.

This Alexander Wang "Rina" slingback pump features silver tone studs surrounding the edge of the shoe. It is made of smooth leather and has stiletto heel.

Celebrity Shoes: Meghan Markle wears Aquazzura slingback pumps

Perhaps one of the most popular client of Aquazzura is the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle. For the 100 Days to Peace, the duchess opted to wear a blue slingback pump by Aquazzura to complement her blue Jason Wu dress.

This Aquazzura 'Portrait of A Lady' pump features a jeweled slingback, stiletto heel and pointy toe. It is available at Farfetch for $950.

Kate Mara attended the AT&T NFL Sunday Ticket 25th season kick-off party in NYC wearing a silk blouse, slim pants and Alexander Wang slingback pumps.

Crazy Heel: Jacquemus slingback pumps

I stumbled upon this Jacquemus slingback pump with geometric heel and it reminds me of the years past, the Mod squad and Geometry. It's not unusual these days to see a shoe with unique, albeit crazy, heels because there are tons of it available in the market. This particular design is from the French label's Spring 2018 collection inspired by Picasso's paintings. This is available at Net-A-Porter for $670.

Just recently, Selena Gomez was seen wearing a mismatched Jacquemus beige sandals.

I am not a fan of slingback shoes because it slips off my feet. I don't feature many slingback shoes in this blog for that reason. If it is a slingback, it has to have a certain charm for it to be featured. And that is what this Luciano Padovan multicolored slingback just did. I really like the color combination... they are actually my favorites. The red heel will really make an impact when you walk away.

The buckled bows are cute but tough. I would love to try this on with a nautical inspired dress. This is also available in fuchsia pink.

Brian Atwood 'Aliyza' slingback pump

Brian Atwood 'Aliyza' slingback pump, $1185 at Forward by Elyse Walker.

Such an exciting pump to wear this season! From the bright red upper to the stitched details on the 5.5-inch heel and 1-inch platform... staring at it makes me want to go to a party. What I like about Brian Atwood is that he is taking a plunge into the interesting and unexpected designs every once in a while.

Why am I such a sucker for cute bows?

This Valentino slingback pump with bow detail on the side is too cute for me to not notice. The nude leather strap inserted on the white upper is a unique design. It has 120mm heel and covered platform.

This would go perfectly with crisp white dresses.

Aperlai leather and snakeskin slingback platform sandal

This rather futuristic slingback sandal by Aperlai is so unique that its thumbnail image intrigued me so I had to take a closer look. It is made of leather and snakeskin that makes up the upper.

The inner side is exposed to create a different silhouette. Its heel measures 125mm while the platform is 25mm.

Of course, a unique footwear like this should be worn with leg baring dresses. If this fancies you, you can have it for $760 at Saks Fifth Avenue.
