Tips on how to have sexy and sandal-ready feet

Free People "Fools Gold" wrap sandal, $89.

I know not every one was blessed to have nice and sexy feet but that's not an excuse not to take care of them. Don't you dare give up on taking care of your feet because nice shoes will never compensate for ugly looking feet. Here's how you can take care of them so that you'll be ready to wear those gorgeous sandals that's been sleeping in your closet for quite some time now.

1. Of course, it all starts with wearing the perfect fitting shoes. Shoes that doesn't fit right will cause your feet blisters and corns, not to mention the excruciating pain during and after wearing the shoes.

2. Soak your feet in foot bath with essential oil for at least fifteen minutes to loosen dead skin. Do this at least once a week.

3. Give your feet a good scrub to remove dead skin after soaking it in foot bath. A pumice stone works wonders so invest in a good one.

4. Give your feet a rest. Immediately remove your shoes, and socks if you are wearing one, as soon as you get home. It's also a good habit to shift heel height to relax your feet and prevent hammer toes and even fractures.

 5. Don't let nail polish stay longer than two weeks on your nails. Nail polish have chemicals that can cause brittleness and discoloration.

6. Always maintain a suitable nail length. If your toe nails are too long and you often wear closed shoes, you are more prone to ingrown nails.

7. Just like any other part of your body, your feet needs moisture so invest in a good cream to  make you feet just like a baby's.

8. This may sound weird, but purified water is better than tap water in washing your feet because it prevents the heels from cracking and drying.

MIA Limited Edition 'Hurache' peep toe pumps for Free People

How's your day?

I had a blast yesterday, it was my birthday... I turned 29 and it was my most memorable birthday yet.

Anyway, this is maybe the second time I am featuring a Free People shoe. What do you think of these 'Hurache' peep toe pumps? I personally love it! I really like the triangular heels and the woven leather effect. This is also available in gray.

You can have this for $198.

Sandals with Leg Warmers

Why would you wear sandals with leg warmers on a hot summer weather?  I just couldn't get the idea of putting leg warmers to cover the legs while the toes are all bare.  If you wear it with socks, it is a lot sillier.  This is the perfect example of not making up one's mind.  Hot or cold?  Boots or sandals?  This is also a bad case of having the best of both worlds and hitting two birds in one shot.

1. Dolce Vita Indie stretch sandals from Free People (Upper left)
2. Alexander McQueen patent leather sandals from the Outnet (Upper right)
3. Progetto M112 from Lori's Shoes (Lower left)

4. Bella thong bootie by Muk Luks (Lower right)

Mirror Image: Free People vs. Opening Ceremony vs. Asos

Looks familiar ain't it?  To refresh your memory, the first of this style that I featured in this blog was Free People's in nude color and then Chloe Sevigny's design for Opening Ceremony in black.  Don't worry, you don't have to recall everything because the image above is exactly what I am talking about.

Wedge...check!
Buckle details... check!
Peep-toes... check!
Open front... check!

It is hard to tell who won in this battle but on the price tag round, Asos wins by offering $68.38 while Free People is second with $235 price and Opening Ceremony lagging way behind with $553.

Free People Arrowhead wedge booties

Do not be overwhelmed by the numerous buckles on the sides because these booties are with zippers.  I'd probably wear this with shorts and not much accessories because the whole look would be OTT.  I like that it is wedge because it easier to walk in despite the heel height and the peek-a-boo detail  in front is reminiscent of gladiator sandals.  Nude is in this season so I guess that earns this wedge a space in your closet.

You can get this at Free People for $245.
