Shoe Suggestions for Michelle Rodriguez

One of the stars who attended Azzedine Alaia fashion show was Michelle Rodriguez. We still can't get over the fact that there's a possibility she will no longer star in the next Fast and Furious movie because of alleged unequal representation of women in the film. We do hope that the producers and Michelle would settle it once and for all because honestly, F&F will not be the same without her. While they are still in the process, let us take a moment to appreciate Michelle in this sequined midnight blue gown that hugged her curves in all the right places. While nude colored shoes go well with everything, we feel like another shoe would be perfect for this specific dress.

Alaia suede platform sandal

Alaia suede platform sandal, $898 at Shop Savannahs
Alaia is becoming one of my favorite brands and you can't blame me because here is the brand's suede platform sandal with ankle strap that is reminding me of the mod days. It has 145mm heel and 55mm platform that will surely add height if you are somewhat vertically challenged like me.

Alaia shell embellished python sandals

Alaia shell embellished sandals, $744 previously $1,860 at The Out Net.
This shell embellished sandals by Alaia sure is ready for Summer. A sandal this pretty should be worn with a dress. Funny how I recommend wearing shoes with dresses but in real life I rarely wear dresses. Anyway, if you are the dress kind of woman, here are my picks.

Alaia cutout pumps with ankle strap

Alaia cutout pumps, $616.50 previously $1,370 at The Out Net.
I will make a short post tonight. I have such a bad headache that searching for more gorgeous shoes is like torturing myself. I will be back tomorrow, I promise.

In the mean time, pause for a while and glance (stare) at this cutout pumps by Alaia. It has 5.5" heels and 1.5" platforms. I really adore the cutout sides and ankle straps. A pair comes with a leather shoe box with strap that you can use as storage box of other items in your closet.

Shoe Suggestions for Ciara

 Photo from here.

Ciara's feather dress with sexy slit during the MTV Video Awards was gorgeous, she could be in the list of best dressed if it were not for those nude shoes.  I hope she wore it with any of these:

Alaia lace-up calf hair polka dotted booties

These look like clog but they are not, these are pumps as described in Net-A-Porter.  I believe these are booties.  Whichever it is, I think these would be fun to wear this Fall and Winter.  What do you think?  You can have these Alaia polka-dotted shoes for $1,830.  Pretty expensive...

Alaia snakeskin knot detail platform sandal

I think I have seen this design before but I could not remember exactly which label was it.  Anyway, I like it.  I think this will look great with party and casual dresses because gray goes well with almost everything.  This snakeskin platform sandal by Alaia doesn't come cheap, you can buy this at Bluefly for $1,588.

Edgy high heeled sandals

The past two or three years is perhaps the most edgy years for shoes.  Who would've thought that spikes would land on shoes and zippers, studs, mesh and laces would be all over them?  I believe these unusual materials will not say goodbye to shoes anytime soon so I thought I might share with you some of the edgy sandals that I have found.

This Charles David sandal is edgy because it looks like a heeled sneakers.  The yellow mesh gives this caged sandal more fun and exciting.  You can get this at Nordstrom for $128.95.

This mixed media sandal by Jimmy Choo is trendy and edgy at the same time because of the contrast stitching, studs and two-buckle closures.  You can grab a pair of this at Bergdorf Goodman for $1,195.

Should I explain further why this Alaia shain-link sandals is edgy?  You can have this at Net-A-Porter for $2,680.
