Celebrity Shoes: Olivia Culpo wears Dolce & Gabbana sandals

Olivia Culpo wears Dolce & Gabbana dress and sandals at the brand's Light Blue Italian Zest Launch in L.A.

This Dolce & Gabbana "Bette" sandal features a black T-bar strap that contrasts the metallic gold multi-strap front and ankle. The sculpted heart heel provides a unique touch to the delicate design. This sandal is from the brand's SS18 collection. It is available at Farfetch and Moda Operandi.

Celebrity Shoes: Naomi Campbell wears Dolce & Gabbana graffiti pumps

Naomi Campbell took street style into a whole new level. She wore a head to toe Dolce & Gabbana ensemble for the brand's store opening in N.Y.C.

This Dolce & Gabbana "Lori" graffiti mural pump is made of leather. It has 3.5 inch stiletto heel and pointy toes. This is something you wear to make a statement (literally) and to remind us of the 1990's fashion trend. This is available at Saks Fifth Avenue, Farfetch, Bluefly 24 Sevres and Neiman Marcus.

Celebrity Shoes: Dakota Fanning wears Dolce & Gabbana sandals

Dakota Fanning is pretty in pink at the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda 2018 collection fashion show in N.Y.C. She complemented her sparkly dress with Dolce & Gabbana caged sandals. If you are going to attend any fashion show, it is necessary to wear at least one item from the brand to show respect.

This is Dolce & Gabbana caged sandals with delicate crystals, studs and rose embellishments on the straps. Its upper is made of satin, as well as the covered 4-inch heel. It is available at Farfetch for $1,400.

Over The Top Flower Themed Shoes

DSquared2 feather floral sandals, $1,741-$1,925 at Farfetch.

While there are many flower themed shoes that are less than $100 you'd want to wear this Spring, there are also quite a number of designers who went all out in designing shoes with flowers and all sorts of accouterments that would rival a garden (my garden, perhaps). Take a look at some of our finds:

This Jimmy Choo "Claire" floral print pump looks like a regular pump but what makes it unique is the ruched TPU or plastic wrapped around it for it to look like a bouquet of flowers. I mean, seriously. It's from the runway collection and Rihanna was seen wearing the black version.

This Alexander McQueen buckled boots with plexi heel is for someone who finds happiness in trampling flowers.

Take a look at this Sophia Webster "Jumbo Lilico" sandal with huge flower arrangements. It is from the brand's Spring '18 collection. This brand is known for quirky design so do not be surprised that one of the brand's shoes is included here.

Aside from naming shoes in hard to pronounce words, this brand also designs shoes that are OTT. This is Christian Louboutin "Babouchkaflor" velvet mule with floral sequin and beaded embellishments, not to mention the ruffled velvet collar and glittered heel.

The list will not be complete without including this Dolce & Gabbana sandals with flowers and studs all around.

Dolce & Gabbana Climbing Rose Sandals

The first time I saw this Dolce & Gabbana sandals, I immediately thought of Beauty and the Beast. It is my favorite Disney movie because it was the first movie I watched in our new VHS player many years ago. I especially love the first time Belle and Beast danced while Mrs. Potts sang.

Have you seen the movie? I haven't. Am I the only one? I have seen the trailer and the casts' interviews and they are great, but the long queues turn me off. I am a bad Disney fan, I know, but I still have a few days to watch it in the theater.

Back to the shoe... this "Climbing Rose" sandals is so pretty to look at. The red silk rose the climbs the heel (hence, the name) is an absolute conversation starter. I can see myself wearing it with a formal tea-length dress or cropped slim pants to show off its stunning heel.

If you still have the Belle Fever, you can but this strappy sandals for $1,395 here.

The Craziest Designer Shoes

It has been a while since I posted about shoes that are on the crazy side but are on the market for the small margin of customers who are giddy about extraordinary shoe designs. Those shoes do not come cheap, though, because most of them are designed and produced by established brands and they are launched on the runway. Take a look at some of the daring shoe designs so far.

Dolce & Gabbana "Carretto Siciliano" printed pumps, $4,995.
This Dolce & Gabbana pump is actually fun to look at. It reminds me of fiestas, carnivals and pizzas. The crazy thing about it is the heel in the shape of a woman who looks like a queen because of the embellished heel atop her head.

Gucci "Queer Core' embellished pumps, $2,390.
This lady debuted on the Resort 2017 runway. It also comes in black, light blue and white. What's crazy about this shoe is that it is a brogue with buckled toe, crystal embellished heel and the three straps that go up above the ankle. It actually looks like a 4-in-1 shoe--pumps, brogues, sandals and boots.

Balmain "Constance" suede pump, $1,585.

The only crazy thing about this Balmain pump is the exaggerated tongue that creates an illusion of a boots if you look at it in front. It also comes in all black suede. It's Balmain and I bet Kim Kardashian-West won't mind owning one.

Aquazzura "Voodoo" sandals, $1,950.
So, this Aquazzura sandals is tribal inspired. Tassels and beads are recurring embellishments on shoes in the past few years but when added with feathers to tickle your legs, that's something.

Tom Ford buckled strap sandals, $1,790.
Unstable heel? Check! Multiple buckles? Check! Crazy! But in all honesty, I would love to try this on.

Vetements + Manolo Blahnik satin boots, $4,225.
This is what Rihanna and Kim Kardashian-West wore a few days ago. Riri wore the bright orange version while Kim had it in black. The crazy feature of this boots is that it goes way up to the hips--the waist, almost, if you are petite. This design collaboration is from the Spring 2017 collection.

Chanel tweed sneaker boots, $895.
This shoe has an identity crisis. Period.

Shoe Suggestions for Janelle Monae

Janelle Monae looks fabulous in that intricately beaded Zuhair Murad dress but I don't think her boots are. It just doesn't quite fit in to the whole ensemble. I have picked quite a few quirky alternatives to make her stand out even more.

Kurt Geiger lace pumps, $104.

Vetements + Manolo Blahnik satin pumps, $1,775.

Christian Louboutin "Louloudancing" sandals, $995.

Dolce & Gabbana "Keira" sandals, $1,995.

Dolce & Gabbana cut-out flower clear pumps

Cinderella is one of my favorite Disney princesses because she owns the most magical crystal shoe just like this Dolce & Gabbana cut-out flower pumps. I know there are a lot of perspex shoes out there but this clearly tops them all.

Dolce and Gabbana "Bellucci K" pumps

I have two words for this Dolce & Gabbana pump--Spanish senorita.

I posted a matador inspired look in my other blog, Tres Chic! and I guess it's what influenced my thinking about this shoe. This gorgeous polka dot pump is made of calf leather with carnation flower adorning the pointy toe. Its heel measures 3 inches. You can check out farfetch.com if they have your size available, be ready to stash $795.

Meanwhile, imagine yourself wearing it with these:

Dolce and Gabbana 'Bellucci' pumps

Although these pumps are from Dolce & Gabbana's Fall 2014 collection, I think it can still match the label's Spring/Summer 2015 collection.

See? The "Bellucci" pump will go perfectly well with these dresses.

These pumps are of velvet upper with embellishments and elsaticized straps. It's heel measures 3 inches.

You can have it at mytheresa.com for $1,545.

Dolce and Gabbana rose embellished metallic caged sandals

The literal caged sandals by Dolce & Gabbana has its 6.5-inch wedge and 3-inch platform made of metal with rose embellishments. Its upper is made of leather with velvet insole. I think that something so delicately designed like this will be better appreciated when displayed in a gallery rather than worn.  Where do you take this for repair? Cobbler or welder?

You can have it at netaporter.com for $6,900.

Dolce and Gabbana Spring 2014 Shoe Collection

If there is a word that will best describe Dolce & Gabbana's shoe collection for spring, it is Spring. Everything reminds me of vines, flowers in bloom and for some reason--Italy. I don't know if it has something to do with where the runway show was held (Milan) or if it is because a gold vine is a classic Italian design staple. Regardless, the shoes were amazing... not the ones I would normally wear but I would definitely look at each time at displays.

See more shoes after the jump.

Dolce & Gabbana 170mm woven raffia wedge

Festive looking as it may seem, but no, Dolce & Gabbana will not lure me into buying this wedge. There's just a lot of things going on that wearing it once is already enough... you can never wear it again because it will be just ridiculous.

You don't want to spend $2,745 for a sandal that you can never wear for more than two times. If you would like to take a risk, this is available at luisaviaroma.com.

Dolce and Gabbana crystal embellished satin pumps

Dolce & Gabbana crystal embellished satin pumps, $4,575 at Net-A-Porter.
Crystals galore!

This pump by Dolce and Gabbana surely knows how to make an impact. I hardly noticed that its upper is actually made of satin.

Look at the delicate bow... wouldn't it be perfect to dress up a plain dress? It has actually outshone Dorothy's ruby slippers.

I would not sit on chairs with foot rest if I am wearing this because it will just ruin the crystals on the sole. I wonder how many crystals were put onto this shoe?

Enough of the crystals... it has 140mm heels and 40mm covered platform.

Cap toe / Capped toe pumps

Cap toe / capped toe pumps are all over the place. Not that I am complaining, I actually like them, whether in their pointy form or not (I prefer pointy). There is something sexy and formal about cap toes that lures me into buying one for myself. Luckily (unluckily), I do not have time yet to go to the mall.

However, if you fancy cap toes and could not wait to get yourself a pair, here are some cap toes available online. Just click on the shoe that you like and you will be directed to the website.

Happy shopping!

D & G 'Stampa' cherry print wedge sandals

D & G 'Stampa' cherry print wedge, $560 at Zappos Couture.
Love the vintage feel of this wedge sandals by D & G. It reminds me of the days when women were always wearing their dresses and carrying their totes.

Wear it with these:
