Marc by Marc Jacobs suede 'All Ears' pumps

Marc by Marc Jacobs suede 'All Ears' pumps, $380 at Stylebop.

I was supposed to blog about a Sergio Rossi studded pump but I came across this Marc by Marc Jacobs suede pumps with huge ears resembling a famous mouse's. It is not the first time that the brand produced a rather unusual design (remember the mouse flats?).

I guess Charlotte Olympia's cat-faced wedge pumps will be chasing on this.

Marc by Marc Jacobs colorblock satin pump

Marc by Marc Jacobs colorblock satin pump, $199.95 at DSW.
Colorblock is in and I have this Marc Jacobs pumps that is right on trend and right on the budget. What I like about it is that it has an interesting fold, instead of the usual bow, in blue and turquoise. It also has an interesting geometric heel to complete the look.

Wear it with these:

Marc Jacobs closed toe slip ons with fungi

Those pink, red and brown things on the ankle aren't really fungi, those are just designs to prettify those slip-ons by Marc Jacobs. But did it really make them pretty?  Anyone willing to snip those things?  These are $314.04 worth of fungi err shoes we are dying to cut with scissors.

Marc Jacobs flats with bejeweled flower embellishment

I have finally decided to limit wearing heels.  I am currently wearing a wedge sandals with platform front... it still has heels but it is evened out by the platform.  So much for my trying to defend myself.  Anyway, I will try to stick to low heeled footwear from now on.  I have actually put my 3-in heels inside their boxes to give them some rest and my feet to experience other soles.  My current shoe shopping objective is to look for flats.  I have found these blue (my favorite color) Marc Jacobs sandals with bejeweled flower embellishment that is currently on sale for $360 (previously $749) at Zappos.  Lovely!

Marc by Marc Jacobs 'Mouse' ballet flat

Eeeeeeek!  A mouse! Whew!  Thank goodness it is just a ballet flat with a mouse design courtesy of Marc Jacobs.  I find it cute...for a two year-old kid to wear.  Suri would look extra cuter if she'll wear this but I doubt this is available in her size.  It actually reminds me of Jean Charles De Castlebajac's leopard pumps complete with a tail and whiskers.  Maybe, just maybe, this mouse shoe and the leopard pump are friends... just like Aesop's fable and that one day this mouse will free the leopard from the harsh and cold jail room of the Fashion Police Squad.  I just don't know when will that be.

Marc Jacobs silver pump

Are we now heading towards the Jetson's era?  This shoe by Marc Jacobs was described as the coveted style, provocative and mesmerizing in Zappos Couture.  Coveted... not (I haven't seen anyone wear this.). Provocative... not.  Mesmerizing... somewhat.  It should be described as futuristic, funky, and modern.  This metallic and futuristic shoe is on sale and you can grab a pair here

Black or White?

When I was still studying, we were not allowed to wear shoes that aren't black... clean and shiny black school shoes--which I think is not a bad thing.  My collection of black school shoes I thought would end in college but, no... we still have uniforms that should be worn only with black shoes.  That is the case if you are not enrolled in Nursing or other allied medicine courses but I would still consider myself lucky for not having to wear white shoes.  I actually haven't tried wearing white ones.. I don't want to try an all white shoe simply because I don't want to see dirt on it, so this led me to searching for really cute black and white combo shoes... and here are some that I've found.

Charles by Charles David 'Vice' sandal at Endless that is 40% off the original price of $144.95.

These 'Kalei' peep toes are not your usual floral printed shoes and these are by Anne Klein.

Love this!  This Giuseppe Zanotti 'Graffiti' peep toe captures the 80's art deco and the pink heels added more attitude to this shoe.

Georgina Goodman 'Ruby' paltform sandal would be perfect with black tights.

This 'Halina' thong sandal by Ralph Lauren is made for stylish long walks around town.

Black and white are not boring, just take a look at this 'Miss Marc' ballet flats by Marc Jacobs.  The pirate face design is so cute!
