Dolce and Gabbana rose embellished metallic caged sandals

The literal caged sandals by Dolce & Gabbana has its 6.5-inch wedge and 3-inch platform made of metal with rose embellishments. Its upper is made of leather with velvet insole. I think that something so delicately designed like this will be better appreciated when displayed in a gallery rather than worn.  Where do you take this for repair? Cobbler or welder?

I. AM. LOST. FOR. WORDS.

No kidding. This is a shoe. A wedge shoe in particular. I have no idea how to wear it and even if you get to fit your feet in, I don't know how you will be able to walk.

I know this "heel-less heel" have been around for years now but it still amazes me how anyone could walk in it... at 120mm height.

I have three reasons to be obsessed with Salvatore Ferragamo's Hollywood Collection... First, the color block design which creates a breathe of happy air. Second, the clear wedge heel. Third, the lace.

Dolce and Gabbana Spring 2014 Shoe Collection

If there is a word that will best describe Dolce & Gabbana's shoe collection for spring, it is Spring. Everything reminds me of vines, flowers in bloom and for some reason--Italy. I don't know if it has something to do with where the runway show was held (Milan) or if it is because a gold vine is a classic Italian design staple. Regardless, the shoes were amazing... not the ones I would normally wear but I would definitely look at each time at displays.

Casadei sculptured wedge sandals

I guess what I am trying to say is that this Casadei wedge has been haunting me lately. Its heel height exceeds my standard and I was advised to refrain from wearing heels because of a hairline fracture on my toe, but, it is just so pretty to look at. I like the combination of nude, pink and tangerine--very summery! This also comes in black.

I mentioned in my post yesterday that I went to a shoe factory in Liliw, Laguna. It was actually my first time to witness how a pair of shoe is made. It was exciting!

A Shoe Lover's Kryptonite

I was fortunate to visit a shoe factory in Liliw, Laguna. It is known to be the slipper capital of the Philippines. Although the town is famously known for their sturdy slippers, they also make the most beautiful shoes. In fact, aside from Marikina, the town supplies shoes to most of the biggest department stores in the Philippines. Surely, a shoe-aholic will go gaga fitting and buying shoes from over than a dozen shoe boutiques in single a street. You can actually buy ten pairs of shoes if you have a hundred dollars in your wallet.

So, if you happen to be in the Philippines or if you are planning to come here, make sure to include Liliw, Laguna in your itinerary. I am a hundred percent sure that you will not leave the place without buying a pair of shoes.

How high can you go?

Giuseppe Zanotti heelless wedge, $895.

I have tried wearing 1 1/2 inch platform with 5-inch heel and as far as I am concerned, that's my limit. I don't want to stumble and break my crown.

Giuseppe Zanotti has been challenging us to try his heelless heels and that's not enough, he wants us to try the 8-inch wedge. Although it is not the highest heel in Guinness Book of World Records, I can say that Zanotti has made it even deadlier to walk in a relatively low but no-heel shoe.

Why oh why would Giuseppe Zanotti make shoes like this? 

It has been almost two weeks since my first craving for red shoes. I do not have one so finding the perfect red shoe is just as exciting as wearing them. I am lustfully looking at this wedge and although my mind says, "Stop! Those heels could kill you!"... my heart says, "It is not everyday that you will meet a beauty such as those."

Its heel measures 61/2 inches with 2 1/4-inch platform. Its upper is made of bright red suede that simply says, "I am for keeps!"

In as much as I would like to "like" this sandal, it really does remind me of Rapunzel's hair. It's not one of my favorite fairy tales because her hair per se gives me the creeps. I could not imagine how a woman takes care of that really really really long hair... maybe because my hair treatment is limited only to haircut and shampoo.

Anyway... this sandal is made of braided raffia. It has 6.5-inch heel with floral design and 2-inch platform.
