Melissa + Vivienne Westwood Anglomania Pumps

Melissa and Vivienne Westwood's collaboration is a successful one. In fact, they have made plastic/rubber shoes so chic that most fashionistas have at least one pair in their shoe rack. Despite the success, I can't consider this pump one thing that suits the majority's taste. Blame it to the molded toe design. 

However, this is available at yoox.com for $132 and there are only a few pairs left.

Melissa 'Loop' pump with bow detail

This isn't Melissa's gift to Barbie but it can be any Barbie-at-heart's perfect pump.  This 'Loop' pump has a cylindrical heel that is, you bet, made of plastic.  The golden bow is made of plastic, too.  The body, however, is made of suede but this design also has full plastic version in blue.  This is available at Melissa Australia's site and you can have this for $150. 

Melissa + Jean Paul Gaultier strappy sandal

When Melissa collaborated with Vivienne Westwood to make cute plastic shoes with cherries and orbs, it was a buzz.  Just recently the Brazilian brand collaborated with another notable fashion designer--Jean Paul Gaultier.  Their collaboration produced this salmon colored strappy sandal.  The product was launched last June but I think it did not make enough buzz to surpass what the cherries and orbs had.  In all fairness, I find this sandal cute.  I actually had a plastic strappy sandal when I was a kid (minus the 100mm heel).  If you are interested in buying this, just click here and spend $260.  This is also available in black.
