I stumbled upon this website that sells not only brand new shoes but also pre-owned ones. In the Philippines, buying pre-owned things is a growing industry. While items sold at specialty stores are original and of good quality, I still couldn't muster enough courage to buy pre-owned shoes. Sure, I'd buy pre-owned bags but clothes and shoes are not my thing. A pet peeve perhaps. However, if you are the one who doesn't mind owning and wearing things that have been in someone else's closet, feet and body... you will save tons of money. 

My tips on buying pre-owned shoes, particularly... check the scratches and the evenness of the heels because professional sellers won't sell worn out merchandise. Although sellers make sure that they clean the items before they hit the racks, it is best that you check if the shoes are clean both inside and outside.

The moment I laid my eyes on these Charlotte Olympia  'Birthday' flats, I already know that it should have a post in this blog. These shoes are way off to what the designer is known for but it is, to my taste, the most adorable flats to win my choosy shoe heart!

These flats are from the designer's Cosmic Collection. I thought the collection is about the moon and stars adorning the ubiquitous exaggerated platforms of the designer but to my surprise it was actually the signs of the zodiac. I am an Aquarian and I wouldn't mind wearing my sign. 

The 1/2-inch golden heel creates a nice contrast to the suede with metallic leather piping. The almond toe is adorned with a crystal embellished zodiac sign.

This pump by Dolce and Gabbana surely knows how to make an impact. I hardly noticed that its upper is actually made of satin.

Look at the delicate bow... wouldn't it be perfect to dress up a plain dress? It has actually outshone Dorothy's ruby slippers.

I would not sit on chairs with foot rest if I am wearing this because it will just ruin the crystals on the sole. I wonder how many crystals were put onto this shoe?

Christian Louboutin 'Highness 160mm' pumps, $3995 at Barneys.

For Christian Louboutin's 20th anniversary in the shoe business, he created this 'Highness' pump with 160mm heel and platform front. It looks like 'Dafodille Brodee' with another shoe designer's surname written on the upper that I featured last September. You can deduce that this particular shoe has the same shape as 'Dafodille', only this one has embellishments (and I mean embellishments) and the word Hollywood on the navy upper.
