The Best Shoes of 2010

What a year!  I think 2010 is one of the best years in fashion and one of the saddest too because of the death of one of the best designers there is-Alexander McQueen.  But, life has to move on. Fashion has to live. And it is living indeed!  I think shoes made a big wave in the fashion industry. It can either make or break any look .

Take a look in my list of the best shoes of 2010.  Click on the jump.

Topping my list is Christian Louboutin 'Clou Neoud 150' slingback whether it is black or nude for the best spiked shoes.  It's hard to choose which of Christian Louboutin's spiked shoes should be on the top but since 'Clou Neoud' is the most visible of all the spiked shoes, I think it deserves to be number 1.

On the list is, again, Christian Louboutin 'Ambertina' sandal which is as visible as 'Clou Neoud' among Hollywood celebrities.  This has a pink-gold version with crystals.  Her big sister is 'Amber', which has an ankle strap and crystals.  This is the best evening platform sandals.

For the best maryjanes, Miu Miu's loafer maryjanes tops my list, especially this nude version.  I think they successfully mastered the art of making loafers feminine by making it into maryjanes.

Who could forget about Manolo Blahnik's 'Hangisi' pump?  No matter what color, I think it is the best of all evening pumps.

Chained shoes are also big this year and I think the best of them all is this Lanvin pump with buckled ankle strap and chain... oh, and the crooked heel is so cool, too.

Yves Saint Laurent's 'Tribtoo' pumps are obviously the favorite pumps of Eva Longoria, Drew Barrymore, Victoria Beckham and many others.  No matter what color, it is no fuzz to wear.

We are all giddy about these Yves Saint Laurent 'Tribute' sandals.  These are the best casual sandals of the year.

Alexander McQueen's lace pumps for me is the best of all the lace pumps.  Owning a McQueen is like having   a piece of a great designer's life.  Long live McQueen!

Valentino owned bows like no other.  His bowed shoes like this d 'orsay peep toe is simply exudes femininity.

The most underrated boots of 2010 is Prada's 'Vitello Shine'.  I don't know about you guys, but for me, this is a keeper.  It is a classic boot with a harness buckle design which makes it a lot special.

Tory Burch 'Reva' ballet flats is the most coveted flats of the year.  It is one of Oprah's favorite things!

Booties are also big this year.  Who knew that booties can also be worn with cocktail dresses and even evening gowns?  Do look for more feminine booties like Charlotte Olympia's laser cut lace up bootie.  It has a pointed heel and the delicate satin bow are so evening appropriate.

Probably the most versatile sandals of them all is this Jimmy Choo'Private' sandal.  It comes in different colors and textures and whether day or night... it looks good.
